Dr. Steve Bishop- Senior Pastor

Pastor Steve Bishop has served at CSBC for 28 years.  He is a graduate of Columbia International University and Charleston Southern University.  He is gifted as a pastor-teacher and has a knack for telling it like it is.  His messages focus on taking Biblical principles and teaching how they apply to everyday life.  He has led the church through many changes to prepare and equip us to reach and teach those in our world.  Steve is President and teaching Professor at the Vine Institute and serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Good Samaritan Medical Clinic and the Cottages of Chester Village.  Steve and wife Shelia have three grown children; Brantly, Chara and Jordan.  They have one wonderful grandchild named Caden. Kevin Taylor- Executive Pastor

Kevin Taylor served CSBC as church administrator for four years until God called him to serve as Executive Pastor in 2004.  He is a graduate of Winthrop University with a degree in Political Science.  He has handled the business and financial affairs of our church and now serves with pastoral oversight, further developing the pastoral and office staff. The day-to-day ministry to God's people and the operation of the church will now be under his care and direction.   Kevin also serves as President of the Board of Directors for Horizons Christian Academy.  He and his wife Brantly have one son, Caden, who is four years old. Bill Stallings- Associate Pastor

Bill Stallings has served as our Associate Pastor since July 2004.  He and his wife, Teri, have been married for 24 years.  Their daughter, Kristin, is a senior at North Greenville University majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Youth Ministry.  Their 18-year-old son, Landon, is currently attending York Tech with hopes of entering the Rad.Tech program.  God has given Bill a heart for teaching people how to have a deeper relationship with Christ through discipleship.  He is passionate about ministering to our church family through pastoral care, small groups and assimilation for the purpose of equipping them for God's service and pastors the Worship Team.  He also serves the seniors of our church family by encouraging them to stay active both physically and spiritually through regular fellowship outings with one another while always looking for opportunities to serve those around us. Angie Etters- Executive Secretary

Angie Etters joined the staff in September 2004 as Executive Secretary when she left the position of Administrative Assistant of Horizons Christian Academy.  She is responsible for many areas as she serves the staff and church family at CSBC.  She assists our three pastors, handles communication to the church through our weekly bulletins and a monthly newsletter as well as handling the financials of our church.  Angie's husband, Dean serves as a deacon of Chester Second Baptist Church where they and their children, Krista, Jeremy and Kaylee are actively involved. Ronnie Kanipe- Facilities Manager

Ronnie Kanipe has served the Lord and those at CSBC as Facilities Manager since November 2002.  He is responsible for building maintenance, janitorial services, and ground care.  This is no small task since the building is used nearly 12 hours per day during the week not including Sunday services and special events.  Ronnie and his wife Lisa have two sons, Elijah and Levi and one daughter, Alexandria.

Melissa "Mo" Lindsey - Children's Coordinator

Melissa Lindsey is our Children's Coordinator.  She is a graduate of Limestone College with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education.  She works full time at Chester Park School of the Arts as a physical education teacher.  Melissa has worked part-time with the children at Chester Second Baptist Church for nine years.  She coordinates and educates with activities such as nursery, AWANA, Kids Jam and summer camp.  The common purpose of all the activities is to give children the opportunity to experience God's love and in turn, demonstrate it to the world.
