Good Samaritan Clinic

The Good Samaritan Medical Clinic, located at 139 Church Street in Chester, SC,  was founded in May 2002 to provide free medical services, pharmacy and counseling to citizens of Chester who are at least 18 years of age and do not have Medicare, medical insurance, a medical provider, a prescription card/program, and who do not qualify for Medicaid.  During 2005 the Clinic experienced over 9,100 visits for services and acquired 300 new patients, bringing the patient total to over 1,450.

Volunteers:

The majority of the staff of GSMC is composed of volunteer doctors, nurses, pharmacists, physical therapists, counselors and clerical personnel from the community.

Holding Medical Clinics three Tuesdays and two Saturdays a month, a New Patient Clinic once a month, drawing our own labs two mornings a week, dispensing medications two afternoons a week, and handling phone calls and walk-ins from 8:30 - 5:00pm daily, means there is a something for everyone to do, no matter what your skill level.

Patients:

Those seeking to apply for services at the Clinic may do so any weekday afternoon between the hours of 2:00pm - 4:30pm.  They should bring all their medications, proof of income for one month for anyone who lives in the house, and a copy of two current utility bills.

Established patients are seen by appointment only.  Appointments can be made by calling 803-385-6332.
